Privacy Policy

Short version: your wellness data never leaves your Mac.

This policy explains how RETRYTECH LLP (“we”, “us”) handles information in the EyeNap app for macOS and on eyenap.com. If you have questions, email help.retrytech@gmail.com.

1. Your wellness data stays on your Mac

Everything EyeNap records about your day, including eye breaks, stretches, water intake, streaks, scores, settings and your schedule, is stored only on your Mac. EyeNap has no account and no cloud sync. We cannot see this data, and it is never sent to us or to anyone else. If you delete EyeNap and its data, it is gone.

Smart pause checks whether your microphone is in use, whether a full-screen app is in front and whether you are idle. These checks happen on your Mac. EyeNap never records or listens to audio and never accesses your camera.

2. Anonymous usage analytics (TelemetryDeck)

To understand which features are used and to fix problems, EyeNap sends a small number of anonymous usage signals through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. Examples: “app launched”, “onboarding completed”, “a break was completed”, “checkout opened for the Plus plan”.

  • Signals contain no name, email, license key, IP address or wellness history.
  • TelemetryDeck identifies installations with an anonymised, hashed identifier that we cannot link back to you.
  • You can opt out at any time in Settings → Privacy by turning off anonymous usage analytics. When off, no signals are sent.

3. Payments (Dodo Payments)

Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record for EyeNap. That means Dodo Payments is the seller in the transaction, collects your payment and billing details, handles tax, and emails your receipt and license key. We do not receive or store your card details. Dodo Payments shares with us the information needed to support your purchase, such as your name, email address, country, plan and order number. 4. License activation

When you activate, validate or deactivate a license key, EyeNap contacts the Dodo Payments license service with your license key, an activation ID and a device label (for example “MacBook Pro – macOS 15.1”) so you can recognise your Macs. The key and activation ID are stored in your Mac’s Keychain.

5. Software updates

EyeNap uses Sparkle to check eyenap.com for updates. These requests include standard technical information such as the app version and macOS version, and our web host may log your IP address as part of normal server operation.

6. Support emails

If you email us, we use your message and email address to help you, and keep them only as long as needed for that purpose and our records.

7. This website

eyenap.com does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages) may keep standard server logs for security and reliability.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you (in practice, purchase and support records). Email help.retrytech@gmail.com and we’ll help. Data stored by the app on your Mac is under your control and can be removed by deleting the app’s data.

9. Children

EyeNap is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

10. Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, mention it in the app’s release notes.
